Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital CEO Milton Bourgeois Fatally Shot

Milton Bourgeois, CEO of Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital in Raceland, La., was fatally shot at his home on Thursday, according to an ABC News report.

Mr. Bourgeois had served as CEO since 1988.

Mr. Bourgeois was one of three victims from a shooting that occurred Thursday night. The gunman, a former employee at Oschner St. Anne, also shot and killed himself.

In a statement, New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System said its employees are shocked and saddened by the news. "Milton has been a long time member of the Ochsner family and instrumental in healthcare in our region. This is a devastating loss not only to the employees, physicians and staff of the Bayou community, but to the entire Ochsner Health System," read the statement.
