2 Saint Francis Hospital Executives Owed $564k in Severance

Two former executives of Saint Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., are set to receive more than $277,000 each in severance pay, according to a Mid-Hudson News Network report.

Saint Francis is currently going through bankruptcy. The 333-bed hospital filed for Chapter 11 last week, and LaGrangeville, N.Y.-based Health Quest is primed to acquire most of the hospital's assets.

According to documents filed in bankruptcy court, Robert Savage, former president and CEO of Saint Francis, is owed $286,882. Mr. Savage resigned from his position at the end of April after serving at the helm for 12 years. Arthur Nizza took over as CEO in August.

Helen Rinaudo, former vice president of human resources, is due $277,413. Mr. Savage and Ms. Rinaudo are among the hospital's 30 largest creditors with claims, according to the report.
