Baltimore Orioles Owner Donates $2.5M for MedStar Lung Disease Center

Peter Angelos, owner of the Baltimore Orioles, donated $2.5 million to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore to open a new lung disease center, according to a report by the Baltimore Business Journal.

The new center will house services for a new lung screening clinic to help detect lung cancer earlier. It will be located in the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Cancer Institute.

Mr. Angelos’ gift is the largest that MedStar Franklin Square has ever received.
