Knoxville, Tenn.-based TeamHealth has expanded its Alabama presence through a partnership with the physicians of ER Med in Montgomery, Ala., and the acquisition of certain assets from Alabama ER Administrative Services, also in Montgomery.
ER Med and Alabama ER Administrative Services provide services to the emergency departments of three Montgomery-based Baptist Health facilities: Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Fla., Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, and Prattville (Ala.) Baptist Hospital.
"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Baptist Health and the physicians of AERAS and ER Med," said David Grinbergs, DO, FACEP, TeamHealth Emergency Medicine president. "We share their commitment to supporting the hospital system's goals and creating a physician-led culture that enhances physicians' ability to deliver high-quality emergency care to the Montgomery community."
According to the release, the collaborative relationship between TeamHealth and the physicians serving Baptist Health EDs will work to boost customer service and improve the recruitment of emergency physicians.
