Rush University Medical Center Receives $5M to Expand Healthcare Job Training

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago announced it has received a $5 million donation from BMO Harris Bank that will be used to educate and train students for new healthcare jobs needed to deliver high-quality care to Chicago's underserved and low-income west and south side communities.

The funding will enhance existing healthcare partnerships among Rush, the Medical Home Network and City Colleges of Chicago. It will also fund new programs. For example, five new scholarships at Rush will give graduates of Malcolm X College in Chicago the opportunity to continue their education with the bachelor of science in health sciences degree at Rush University in Chicago.
