Children’s Hospital, Touro Join to Create Nonprofit Hospital System

Children’s Hospital and Touro, both based in New Orleans, have joined together to create a two-hospital nonprofit community-based hospital system, according to a news release.

The governing corporation of the new system is Louisiana Children’s Medical Center (LCMC), Children’s Hospital’s parent corporation. The current president & CEO of Children’s Hospital, Steve Worley, will head up the new system.

LCMC will invest at least $100 million in capital improvements for Touro over the next five years, according to the release.
