Woman steals ambulance from St. Anthony Hospital

Police were in hot pursuit this morning of a 38-year-old woman who stole an ambulance from Oklahoma City, Okla.-based St. Anthony Hospital early Friday morning, according to a report from KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.

KOCO-TV captured the high-speed chase by helicopter until troopers surrounded the ambulance and the woman was taken into custody.

According to the report, Dasha West stole the ambulance, which belongs to Pauls Valley Emergency Medical Services, at 5 a.m. Friday morning from St. Anthony Hospital. She was not a patient and no one was in the vehicle when she stole it, according to the report. Ms. West took the vehicle as the medics were taking a patient into the emergency room, according to the report.

Ms. West was released from jail Friday morning, according to KOCO-TV.
