In July, Dr. Pirouzkar was charged with three counts of first degree attempted identity theft and two counts of Medicaid false statement. Prosecutors alleged that from October 2002 to May 2009, he billed Medicaid and Medicare for services he didn’t provide.
Dr. Pirouzkar was sentenced to 240 hours community service to be completed within six months and was ordered to pay $52,109 in restitution, fees and costs.
