The planned sale of Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, Calif., to an affiliate of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health is moving forward.
“Quorum Health is currently in the final stages of state reviews for its conversion to a nonprofit company,” a spokesperson for Phoenix-based Banner Health said in an Oct. 8 statement shared with Becker’s. “The California attorney general’s office will then be able to complete its review of the Banner Lassen Medical Center sale.”
Banner Lassen’s ownership change would be March 31, 2027, pending regulatory approval, the statement said. The sale was previously expected to close as early as December 2026.
Banner Health signed an asset purchase agreement to sell Banner Lassen to the Quorum affiliate in late June. The spokesperson said both teams are working together toward a successful transition with a continued focus on patient care and service to the community.
