The man was found in the hospital with a heroin syringe in his arm and a loaded handgun in his pocket, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.
He has also been arrested and faces charges of possession of drugs, carrying a concealed weapon, having a weapon while under disability and possessing instruments for drug abuse, according to the report.
The woman has not been identified.
The hospital is referring all inquiries to the Cincinnati Police Department
