After denying several providers payment, Noridian retracted the decision, saying it was an error, according to OOSS. Noridian — which is the Medicare carrier for Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming — said the policy was never intended to limit cataract payments and apologized for the confusion.
