The man, a registered sex offender who hospital staffers believe was under the influence of methamphetamine, exposed himself to staff, removed his IV and medical equipment, and then pulled a knife on a physician before leaving the hospital on foot.
Police arrested the man outside the hospital without incident. No hospital workers were hurt during the incident.
