House Democrats Urge Other Lawmakers to Protect Medicaid, CHIP

Forty House Democrats have signed a letter by Rep. Danny Davis (D-Ill.) urging other lawmakers to ensure any cuts to Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program “hold children harmless,” according to a report by The Hill.

Rep. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) also wrote an op-ed in the Baltimore Sun urging lawmakers to protect the nation from “devastating” Medicaid cuts, according to the report.
