House Bill Would Terminate Funding for AHRQ

A draft appropriations bill released by the House Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee would terminate funding for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality beginning Oct. 1, according to an AHA News Now report.

The bill would also end federal funding for patient-centered outcomes research and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s prevention fund.

The bill is scheduled for markup by the committee this week.
