HCA Sues Tennessee Blues for $7.8M Over Network Arrangement

HCA is suing BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee for more than $7.8 million, claiming the insurer unilaterally applied a large discount to HCA claims, according to a report in the Nashville Business Journal.N

The lawsuit said the Tennessee Blues set up a separate network for some HCA claims, called “Network S.”

It said “Network S” is not a HCA-contracted network, pays lower rates and does not have a consistent payment method.
