In February, HackensackUMC received approval of a certificate of need to reopen Pascack Valley. Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., and Englewood (N.J.) Hospital and Medical Center, long-time opponents of the reopening, brought their challenge of the CON approval to the Appellate Division in September.
The new hospital is scheduled to open in June 2013.
