The hospital is replacing its 24-hour emergency room with a 12-hour urgent care facility, according to the report. Some of the employees affected by this switch were offered jobs at other St. Joseph’s locations.
St. Josephs Mercy Saline will close its 24-hour ER in the spring. Its closure is expected to save the hospital money.
