Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health is having trouble processing payments made directly from patients’ bank accounts following a billing system conversion.
A Carle spokesperson told Becker’s the issue affects only patients trying to pay directly from a checking or savings account. Patients can still pay by credit card through Carle’s patient portal, MyCarle, or by mail. They can also pay by card or cash in person with a representative or at a kiosk.
Because of the issue, Carle has restarted its billing timeline to give patients more time to pay. The spokesperson said Carle is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
