Forty-eight employees will be laid off across the system. Those employees will receive severance packages and priority for future open positions within St. Clare’s, according to the report.
A system spokeswoman told North Jersey the workforce reduction stems from reduced Medicare reimbursements and “the challenging economic climate affecting both New Jersey and the nation’s hospitals.”
