Morehead Memorial Hospital Cuts Positions, Hours

Eden, N.C.-based Morehead Memorial Hospital has eliminated 22 positions and cut the hours of 25 other employees as it faces financial hardships, according to a Triad Business Journal report.

This is not Morehead Memorial’s only recent workforce reduction, according to the report: It has eliminated 18 other jobs in the last six months.

The hospital is experiencing decreasing inpatient volumes and reduced reimbursements from government payers, according to the report.
