Eighty-five of the affected employees are full-time workers. Affected workers could be placed in other open positions within the system, and others will be offered severance packages and career counseling services.

The system has been affected by declining reimbursements and lower inpatient volumes, which necessitated the cuts, according to the report.

Abington Health employs 6,000 people.
