Quest Diagnostics Q2 financial results: 5 things to know

Quest Diagnostics released its financial results for the second quarter of 2022. Five things to know:

1. Quest posted second quarter revenues of $2.45 billion, down 3.8 percent from 2021.

2. Diluted earnings per share fell to $1.96, down 60.5 percent from 2021.

3. Base business revenues increased 2.9 percent from 2021 to $2.1 billion.

4. Diluted earnings per share for the full year are now expected to land between $8.24 ad $8.64.

5. Quest earned $355 million from COVID-19 testing in the second quarter, down 30.5 percent from the same period in 2021.
