MedQuest, which Novant Health has owned since 2007, has previously done business in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Mississippi and South Carolina, helping hospitals and health systems develop outpatient radiology strategies. The investment from TPG will allow the company to grow to markets across the country.

Terms of the deal, which was finalized Dec. 31, were not disclosed.
