Cionic raises $12.5M

Medtech company Cionic has raised $12.5 million in series A funding.

Cionic specializes in creating bionic clothing technology designed to increase mobility for patients with multiple sclerosis, stroke, cerebral palsy and other mobility impairments. Earlier this year, the Cionic Neural Sleeve received FDA clearance.

The funding will be used for the manufacturing and delivery of Cionic mobility technology, according to a Sept. 28 news release from the company.

The funding round brings Cionic’s total raised to $23 million. BlueRun Ventures led the funding round with participation from Epic Ventures.
