Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts nurses ratify union contract

About 80 nurses from Springfield-based Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts ratified a three-year union contract Tuesday.

The nurses, represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association, negotiated over workplace violence, gender identity protections and wages. The ratified contract includes a 1.5 percent pay increase for all MNA members.  

The agreement replaces a previous contract, which expired Feb. 28.
