The University of Rochester (N.Y.) has reached a tentative labor deal with two Service Employees International Union groups that represent healthcare service workers, according to a WXXI report.
Approximately 1,800 members of SEIU Local 200United, and 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, are covered by the tentative agreement, according to the report. The members include a number of workers at University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, such as patient care technicians, nursing unit secretaries and food service staff, among many others.
Details of the tentative agreement will be revealed following a union ratification vote, which is expected Tuesday, according to the report.
