The agreement limits the number of floating nurse jobs and establishes a shared governance model, allowing nurses’ concerns to be addressed faster, according to OPB.
Oregon Nurses Association spokesperson Kevin Mealy told the TV and radio public broadcasting network that the tentative contract also includes cost-of-living increases between 2 percent and 4 percent annually.
The agreement — which covers nearly 900 registered nurses at St. Charles hospitals — comes after about seven months at the bargaining table.
