The contract, which union members ratified Wednesday night, covers 600 hospital employees. This includes nurses as well as medical technologists in areas such as radiology, imaging and respiratory services, the report states.
The contract includes a pay increase of more than 10 percent for some positions, along with an agreement for 2 percent cost-of-living adjustments, reports The Santa Fe New Mexican. There are also bonuses tied to performance and tenure.
According to the report, findings from a regional salary survey of the healthcare workforce in New Mexico and neighboring states played a role in salary adjustments.
