19 hospital workers share $1 million Powerball prize

A group of 19 hospital workers at St. Louis-based Barnes-Jewish Hospital shared a $1 million winning ticket for the Aug. 12 Powerball drawing, according to the Salina Journal.

Each worker will receive $52,631 before taxes.

The employees matched all five white-ball numbers in the drawing. They have been contributing $5 each per week to play Powerball and another game over the past four years.

"I think the good thing is it's a lot of prayers answered, and I think it's going to really touch a lot of lives," said co-winner Terri Mastis, according to FOX2now.
