Less than six months later, Steward has increased staff at two of the hospitals — Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio, and Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, according to a Tribune Chronicle report.
At TMH, 105 full- and part-time employees have been added since the acquisition was completed, the hospital’s president, Ron Bierman, told the publication. Northside has added 37 full-time workers.
Increased staff is not the only change Steward is implementing. The fully integrated healthcare system is also working on implementing an advanced EHR system with a go-live expected next summer, according to the report.
Steward currently has 4,500 physicians and 36 hospital campuses.
