The agreement, which covers 530 nurses represented by the California Nurses Association, includes 7.75 percent in pay increases and 6.75 percent in step increases over the contract’s duration, union officials said via news release. They said the agreement also “reforms [the] step increase process so that it is equitable,” maintains health insurance benefits and “expands RN input on patient care issues with key personnel,” among other provisions.

The agreement is slated to run for three years.
