Union officials said employees voted 54-19 against decertification Tuesday, according to the report.
The vote comes amid contract negotiations between the hospital and union, which represents 114 Chippewa County-Montevideo workers. The previous contract expired last year. The hospital and union were slated to have a mediation session before some union members asked for the decertification vote. The mediation session may now be rescheduled, Julie Boots, SEIU Healthcare Minnesota representative, said in the report.
