Hospitals add nearly 11k jobs in February

The healthcare industry added 38,100 jobs last month, contributing to the nation’s 242,000 new jobs in February, according to the most recent jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This is an increase from January, when healthcare added 36,800 jobs.

Within the healthcare industry, ambulatory healthcare services employment grew the most, by 23,600 jobs in February. Next was hospitals, which added 10,600 jobs last month.

In total, hospitals have added 181,000 jobs over the past 12 months, according to the BLS.
