The system expects to save money by moving away from outsourcing as well as improve consistency and performance, according to the report.
This move will result in some of the affected companies — Powerlink Facilities Management Services, Vibrus Group and Agile 1 Workforce Solutions — laying off employees. For instance, Powerlink has announced it will lay off 190 people.
However, Henry Ford plans to hire up to 80 percent of affected employees, Crain’s reported.
