The agreement covers 1,641 RNs in bargaining units at the hospitals, which are part of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America.

The agreement includes across-the-board raises and a new wage scale that will result in increases ranging from 10.4 to 32.3 percent over the three-year term of the agreement, according to the union. It also includes eight hours of rest for any RN after working a call shift before the nurse can be called back to work, as well as a strengthened grievance procedure for disputes.

Nurses still must ratify the tentative agreement.
