Little Rock, Ark.-based Baptist Health plans to lay off 170 employees by the end of this week, according to an Arkansas Business report.

The layoffs are expected to affect employees who are not nurses. The system cited lower reimbursement, "burdensome" regulations form the government and increasing charity care and bad debt as the reasons for the cuts, Arkansas Business reported.

Baptist Health employs about 7,300 workers, according to the report.
