Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreens Boots Alliance entered into an agreement with Burlington, N.C.-based Laboratory Corporation of America to create and manage patient service centers within select Walgreens retail clinics across the country, Forbes reports.

The organizations plan to open five service centers in Denver and one in Morrisville, N.C., this summer. A seventh location will also open in Deerfield by the end of the year, officials said.

The service centers will be branded “LabCorp at Walgreens” and provide specimen collection services for LabCorp testing, according to the report.

Walgreens previously sought to provide diagnostic testing at select retail clinics in Arizona and California through a partnership with Palo Alto, Calif.-based blood testing startup Theranos. However, the deal fell apart in June 2016 and resulted in a legal battle between the two organizations.
