Vizion Health acquires Oklahoma hospital: 3 things to know

Charlotte, N.C.-based Vizion Health acquired Miami, Okla.-based Willow Crest Hospital, a 50-bed acute care psychiatric hospital.

Here are three things to know about the transaction.

1. In addition to the hospital, Vizion Health acquired Moccasin Bend Ranch, the hospital’s 28-bed residential treatment center.

2. Shari Murphree will serve as the hospital’s administrator. She was previously assistant administrator of operations at the hospital.

3. “Vizion’s acquisition of Willow Crest marks the beginning of an aggressive campaign to purchase facilities throughout the country. I knew the previous owner of Willow Crest for many years and look forward to continuing the high quality of care and professionalism the exceptional staff provides at Willow Crest and Moccasin Bend Ranch,” said Mark Schneider, CEO of Vizion Health.
