Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-bed hospital in Glendale, Calif., is the first community hospital to come under the USC health system umbrella and will be rebranded as USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Keck Medical Center of USC currently includes Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital.
Under the deal, USC will invest $30 million into Verdugo Hills Hospital for capital improvements. Other financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
USC and Verdugo Hills Hospital signed their letter of intent in March.
