Here are four things to know about the affiliation:

1. The agreement, effective July 1, will allow the organizations to expand on their commitment to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare.

2. Memorial Hospital’s affiliated clinics, home health services and senior services will all be included as part of the deal.

3. The Memorial Hospital board of directors had been searching for potential affiliates for the past two years. Officials selected UnityPoint Health because the organization’s mission, vision and values all closely aligned with those of Memorial Hospital.

4. The 18-bed hospital’s current board members and administration will continue in their positions once the affiliation is finalized.
