UMass Memorial officials said they are exploring the idea of merging UMass Memorial-HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster, Mass. and Clinton (Mass.) Hospital.
“Two of our hospitals, UMass Memorial-Health Alliance Hospital and UMass Memorial-Clinton Hospital, are integral to our plans in north-central Massachusetts, both now and in the future. Therefore, we are exploring a potential merger that would capitalize on HealthAlliance Hospital’s successful growth and Clinton Hospital’s exceptional patient satisfaction results and easy access to care,” said Debora Spano, the media and public relations manager for UMass Memorial Medical Center, in a statement.
