The new sites, all in Maryland, are in Baltimore, Caroline, Harford and Talbot counties.

Previously, the medical system’s affiliates operated the sites under joint ventures with ChoiceOne.

“Bringing ChoiceOne Urgent Care centers fully into our medical system allows UMMS to provide patients with integrated clinical services and a continuous care experience,” Mohan Suntha, MD, president and CEO of the medical system said. “This purposeful and strategic decision to invest in urgent care centers is part of our drive to transform healthcare delivery in our state and connect patients with the care they deserve  — where and when they need it.”
