The Grand Healthcare System completes acquisition of NY hospital

Queens, N.Y.-based The Grand Healthcare System completed its acquisition of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based River Valley Care Center, a nursing and rehabilitation care center.

As part of the agreement, The Grand Healthcare System will own and operate the facility, which will be rebranded as The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley.

Israel Wullinger was appointed administrator of the organization.

The health system had been managing the facility under an informal agreement since 2014 and has invested nearly $1.6 million in capital improvements, renovations and equipment for the center in the past year.
