County Commissioner Gregg Lawrence presented the resolution to the Williamson County Budget Committee Monday. Mr. Lawrence proposed establishing a task force responsible for studying if state law could be changed to earmark money received from a sale of the county-owned hospital for other purposes.

Mr. Lawrence’s proposal did not pass the budget committee Monday, with no commissioners making a motion to approve the resolution. Two other county committees also didn’t approve the proposal.

The county’s full committee will vote on the resolution next week.
