The proposed St. Luke’s Clear Lake hospital was to be a $160 million project and would have included 10 operating rooms and 22 emergency treatment rooms, along with the 175 beds, according to the report. St. Luke’s and the physicians’ group decided to end the lease. St. Luke’s cited delays caused by Medistar seeking to refinance short-term debt as their reason for the termination.

Medistar said that it is looking for other healthcare groups to take over the lease on the hospital.
