The proposed agreement will allow the combined entity to focus on the quality of care and to enhance the level of healthcare services available to area residents, Blue Mountain Health System officials said.
The proposed transaction was approved by the boards of trustees of both organizations, but is still subject to regulatory approval. Officials from both institutions expect to complete the transaction by the end of the year.
