RCCH HealthCare, U of Washington Medicine in talks to partner with Washington health system

Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health is in talks to partner with Brentwood, Tenn.-based RCCH HealthCare Partners and Seattle-based University of Washington Medicine.

Kennewick Public Hospital District, which owns Trios Health, announced the negotiations Sept. 12.

Marv Kinney, president of the KPHD board of commissioners, said the structure of a potential deal has not been finalized.

Trios Health filed for Chapter 9 debt reorganization in June and has since implemented several strategies to improve its financial health.

The health system has maintained a strategic collaboration with UW Medicine since 2015.

UW Medicine and RCCH HealthCare Partners also maintain a relationship. RCCH HealthCare owns a hospital within UW Medicine's accountable care network, according to the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business.
