SoutheastHEALTH, Washington University in St. Louis ink pathology partnership

Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based SoutheastHEALTH partnered with the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis’ pathology and immunology department, according to the Southeast Missourian.

Under the partnership, the health system will have access to the medical school’s 40 pathologists and staff, as well as access to the school’s telepathology services.

George Wettach, MD, and Steve LaRue, MD, both associate professors of pathology and immunology in the medical school’s anatomic and molecular pathology department, will also be based at SoutheastHEALTH.

The health system formed a similar partnership with the medical school’s cardiothoracic surgery division in February, according to the report.
