Rapid City (S.D.) Medical Center joined Monument Health, a Rapid City-based community health system, on May 1.
The two parties signed a letter of intent for RCMC to join the five-hospital system in late January.
RCMC patients will continue to see the same providers, supported by expanded resources and services, according to a May 1 Monument Health news release.
The hospital’s services will be offered starting May 4 at Mt. Rushmore Road Clinic, South Clinic, West River ENT and Infusion Services-Monument Health, all in Rapid City.
“Joining Monument Health means our patients will have access to even greater resources and a deeper network of care, while continuing to see the providers they know and trust right here at home,” Jay Hammerquist, Rapid City Medical Center CEO, said in the release.
