Sentara Healthcare operates more than 100 care sites, including 12 nonprofit hospitals, four medical groups and multiple imaging centers across Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Pratt Medical Center serves approximately 66,000 patients across its seven locations.
The medical center issued a request for the proposal in early 2014 to evaluate potential healthcare partners and chose Sentara as the sole potential partner in July 2014.
As part of the new partnership, nearly 40 multispecialty providers have joined Sentara Medical Group under the new name Sentara Pratt Medical Group. Pratt Medical Center will also bring an additional imaging center into the Sentara Healthcare network.
